Visitors Egypt’s tour guide will pick you up from your hotel. They will be holding a sign showing the company’s name (Visitors Egypt Tours).
Travel to El-Minya by AC vehcila. Arrive and start your tour in El Menya city where you will take a motor boat to the Tell El Amarna, which was the city of Akhetaton (“Horizon of Aton”) in Upper Egypt. On a virgin site on the east bank of the Nile River, Akhenaton (Amenhotep IV) built the city about 1348 BCE as the new capital of his kingdom when he abandoned the worship of Amon and devoted himself to that of Aton.
After the tour, you will be escorted the hotel for the overnight.
Overnight stay in El-Minya
Breakfast at the hotel, then you will move to Beni Hassan, where you will visit Ancient tombs date back to the Middle Kingdom, from 2055 until 1650 B.C. The tombs of Beni Hassan are carved into some limestone hills on the East Bank of the Nile. They are situated about 20 Kilometers south of Al Minya and 245 kilometers south of Cairo.
You can see Bakhet tomb (Bakhet III was the Governor of the Oryx Nome), Khnumhotep tomb (Khnumhotep was a governor under Amenemhat III in the 12th dynasty) and Khety tomb (It belongs to a governor in the 11th dynasty ), then proceeds to visit the northern tombs.
After finishing the tour, we will transfer you back to Luxor and then to your hotel.
